An important statement for public security.. This is what it says

The Public Security Office of Information Affairs issued the following statement:

With regard to granting annual and permanent residency as support for a bank guarantee, the required bank statement shall be replaced by a cash guarantee deposited in the treasury fund in cash or by cash bank check (FRESH) at the Ministry of Finance – Treasury Directorate – Accounting and Funds Department, according to which the concerned party will be granted a deposit receipt attached to the application for obtaining On residency, he can be granted (annual – permanent) residency as support for a cash guarantee, exclusively for those who have previously obtained annual or permanent residency as support for a bank statement or monthly income.

The person concerned, his wife, his minor children, and his relatives who are over sixty-four years of age benefit from this residency.

*The value of cash guarantees is determined according to the following:

1,500,000,000 LBP One billion and five hundred million Lebanese pounds to obtain a residence card for one year.
4,500,000,000 LBP Four billion and five hundred million Lebanese pounds to obtain a three-year residency card.

* Residency granted in exchange for a cash guarantee can be renewed under the same guarantee, without the need to deposit a new cash guarantee.

* The guarantee is issued in the following cases:

– Rejection of the application for residency or renewal.
– Expiration of the residence permit and the applicant’s unwillingness to renew it.
– The death of the person concerned, and the right to recover the guarantee goes to the total heirs or their legal representatives.
A decision is issued to cancel and withdraw the residency and the concerned party leaves Lebanon.

* Sponsorship release mechanism:
The person concerned or his legal representative shall submit a request to release the sponsorship according to a form available at the regional public security centers or the General Secretariat, attached to the original residence card if it has not been withdrawn.
