No Patriot systems are available to be sent to Ukraine. This is what the US National Security Advisor revealed

The US National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, announced in an interview with the US news channel MSNBC, that the United States does not have available Patriot air defense systems that could be transferred to Ukraine.

Sullivan added that American Patriot systems are now being deployed around the world to protect American forces.

The US National Security Advisor explained, in the television interview, that if they were able to liberate excess Patriot batteries, they would be sent to Ukraine.

Sullivan stressed that his country intends, at the same time, to persuade European partners and other regions of the world to provide Ukraine with the air defense systems available to them.

Sullivan’s statements come in light of the decline of Ukrainian forces in front of Russian forces on the fighting fronts in Ukraine, where Kiev suffers from air defense problems, and talk increased early this month about the weakness of the Ukrainian air system, which prompted the United States to consider the possibility of providing military support to Kiev.

These statements also come at a time when US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced a new aid package for Ukraine worth $6 billion, while Washington seeks to speed up the delivery of aid to Kiev after months of delaying its approval in Congress.

American media reported last Thursday that this aid package includes arms contracts for Ukraine, including “Patriot air defense systems, artillery ammunition, drones, anti-drone weapons, and air-to-air missiles.” (Sky News)
