There is a security need for the army checkpoint in Harbta

The Governor of Baalbek-Hermel, Bashir Khader, considered that “there is a security need for the Harbata checkpoint,” and added: “This checkpoint has contributed to reducing smuggling operations due to its location and the strictness of the army. It has also contributed to arresting a number of wanted persons and restricting the movement of others.”

Khader stressed: “We are in constant contact with the army, which is carrying out its duties to the fullest extent, and we are informed of its procedures and achievements in this regard during the meetings of the Sub-Security Council.”
