Iraq…an attack on a gas field in Sulaymaniyah

The “Kormor” gas field in the city of “Chamgal” in Sulaymaniyah Governorate in Iraq was bombed by a Katyusha missile.

The mayor of Chamchamal town said, “The attack was carried out with a remotely piloted bomb that hit a building under construction inside the Kormor gas field.”

The attack stopped gas supplies to gas generation stations in the region, according to the Ministry of Electricity of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

According to Agence France-Presse, the attack resulted in the death of three employees.

No party has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

This is not the first time that the “Kormor” field has been bombed, as it was subjected to a similar incident at the beginning of this year.
