The “Amal” movement and the people of the town of Kafr Kila commemorated the week of its martyr, Wassim Moussa Moussa (Taher), with a massive honorary ceremony at the Husseini Club in the city of Nabatieh.

A member of the Presidency of “Amal” and a member of the “Development and Liberation” bloc, MP Dr. Qabalan Qabalan, delivered the movement’s speech. He began by talking about the merits and morality of the martyr and the martyrs and their sacrifices in defense of Lebanon, saying: “These martyrs and these young men who are being martyred are facing the most powerful force on earth, and the bloodshed The pure water that is shed increases us and the country in elevation, pride and dignity.”

He added: “We are a nation that is always victorious because we walk on the path of truth despite the small number of people who follow this path.”

Turning to the political headlines that Lebanon and the region are going through, he said: “In the circumstances that Lebanon and the region are experiencing as a result of the unprecedented war that Israel is waging against the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples, and which contradicts the simplest rules, laws, laws and customs, including massacres committed against children and women and the destruction of health, religious and humanitarian facilities, Amid suspicious international silence in a desperate and miserable attempt to subjugate our will and break our steadfastness and resistance, but unfortunately we hear voices from here and there that are satanic whispers.”

He added: “We say to these people, we are the sons of Jabal Amel, the sons of Musa al-Sadr, it is more honorable and better for us to confront and be martyred in the face of this enemy than to turn our backs on him. This enemy is an enemy of all the Lebanese and not an enemy of a specific faction or sect. We have no choice but to confront this enemy with our weapons, no matter how humble it is, as our will is more solid than the will of the occupier.”

He continued: “What hurts us is not what this enemy is doing in terms of killing, displacement and destruction, but rather the positions of some who are supposed to be our partners. We see them gloating while our pain should be their pain and our wound is their wound.”

He concluded: “Beware of considering that this south is a neglected piece in this country. All your money is not worth a drop of the blood of our children. Our blood is what gave Lebanon a respectable position among the world. We do not want to quarrel with anyone or disagree with anyone. Beware of underestimating the dignity of our people.” Our people are not and will no longer be second or third class citizens. We want to be and live equal to all the Lebanese.
