We are open to any proposals for a final ceasefire

The Hamas movement expressed its regret that a statement from America and 17 countries did not address basic issues and did not emphasize the necessity of a permanent ceasefire and Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza.

Hamas said in a statement that it is open to any proposals for a final ceasefire, and adheres to its main demands.

The leaders of 18 countries issued a joint statement, calling on Hamas to immediately release all hostages held in the Gaza Strip.

The text of the statement published by the White House on Thursday said, “The fate of the hostages and the civilian population in Gaza, who are protected under international law, raises international concern,” calling for “the immediate release of all hostages held by Hamas in Gaza for more than 200 days, including our citizens.”

According to the statement, the agreement on the table to release the hostages will lead to an immediate and long-term ceasefire in Gaza.

The statement noted that such an agreement would also “facilitate increased delivery of essential humanitarian aid to all parts of Gaza, and could lead to a true end to the fighting.”

The countries that signed the statement are the United States, Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Thailand, and Britain. (Sky News)
