It seems that the Egyptian delegation will receive an answer regarding a proposal to release dozens of Israeli prisoners in exchange for a ceasefire.
Israeli officials reported that the government discussed a new truce proposal yesterday, Thursday, which stipulates the release of prisoners, before the expected visit today by the Egyptian delegation.
While a senior Israeli official revealed that the talks focused specifically on a proposal to initially release 20 prisoners who are considered “humanitarian” cases.
Meanwhile, Ghazi Hamad, a member of the Hamas political bureau, confirmed to Agence France-Presse from Qatar that the possible Israeli military attack on Rafah will not achieve for Israel “what it wants.”
