A plane with the words “Tel Aviv” landing at Beirut Airport!

The General Directorate of Civil Aviation announced that an Ethiopian Airlines plane registered in Ethiopia landed at dawn today, Thursday, at Rafic Hariri International Airport – Beirut, under the number ET-AXK.

The directorate confirmed in a statement, “The airport security service reported the presence of the words ‘Tel Aviv’, in a small size, on the plane’s fuselage and it was very difficult to see it from a distance.”

While the Ethiopian company explained that it used to write down the name of the airport where the plane landed for the first time, after purchasing it, which is what happened with the plane, indicating that it did not pay attention to that matter, before bringing the plane to Beirut Airport.

The directorate asked the company to remove the phrase from the plane’s body, before allowing it to take off from Beirut, which is what actually happened.

It also requested the company to take the necessary measures to ensure that there is no logo related to an Israeli entity on the company’s aircraft, before they land at Rafic Hariri International Airport – Beirut.
