Beijing responds to Washington after the stinging warning message
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said on Tuesday that Beijing does not accept any criticism or pressure, and refuses to interfere in Chinese-Russian economic cooperation.
Mao Ning added: “China and Moscow have the right to engage in normal economic and trade cooperation,” stressing that “China has always played a constructive role in seeking to resolve the war in Ukraine,” according to Agence France-Presse.
The Chinese comment comes after Washington warned that it would hold Beijing responsible if Moscow made field gains in Ukraine, after Beijing renewed its promises to cooperate with Russia during the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to China. (Sky News Arabia)
