Israel reveals its position on “Sinwar’s body”

An Israeli official confirmed that the body of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar will not be part of any deal related to Gaza.

A statement issued by the source, whose identity the newspaper refused to reveal, conveyed a categorical confirmation that Israel would not return Sinwar’s body within the framework of the prisoner deal negotiations.

Media reports had previously indicated that Hamas was demanding the return of the body of Sinwar, who was killed in Rafah, as a condition within the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
