The Gaza Agreement.. Palestinian sources talk about resolving the obstructing disputes


Palestinian sources announced on Thursday that Hamas and Israel were able to resolve the differences that obstructed the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, paving the way for the signing of the final version of the agreement in the coming hours.

A source in the Hamas movement told the German News Agency, “The obstacles related to the names of senior Palestinian prisoners included in the first phase of the prisoner exchange deal have been overcome.”

The same source added: “The disagreements came at the last moments after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insisted on including the names of nine wounded Israeli prisoners in the agreed-upon list. However, Hamas agreed to this request on the condition that the names of prominent Palestinian leaders be included in the first phase, in addition to the release of prisoners.” Numbers of Palestinian prisoners from the Gaza Strip.”

Israeli Radio reported that the Qatari and Egyptian mediation was decisive in bringing the views of the two parties closer together.
