The President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, received the Deputy Prime Minister and Italian Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani.
After the meeting, Tajani said that the election of President Joseph Aoun is a fundamental and very important milestone, not only for Lebanon but for the Middle East.
He added: The ceasefire must be strengthened, and Italy will have a role in that through UNIFIL.
Tajani stressed that the election of the president will strengthen relations between the two countries, especially economic ones.
