Syria will resume international flights to and from Damascus International Airport starting January 7, 2025

The head of the Civil Aviation and Air Transport Authority in Syria, Ashhad Al-Salibi, announced the resumption of international flights to and from Damascus International Airport, starting January 7, 2025.

In a statement to the Syrian News Agency, Al-Salibi confirmed the start of receiving international flights, noting that this decision comes within the framework of efforts made to rehabilitate Damascus and Aleppo airports.

He added that the Authority is working in cooperation with its partners to rehabilitate the facilities and infrastructure at the two airports to ensure their ability to receive flights from various parts of the world.

The Civil Aviation Authority reassures Arab and international companies that Syrian airports will be ready to receive flights in the near future.
