The Constitutional Council triumphed over the logic of the rule of law
The Tajadid Bloc saw in a statement, “By nullifying the law extending the mandate of members of the Supreme Judicial Council, the discriminatory Public Prosecutor, and the Financial Public Prosecutor, the Constitutional Council has triumphed over the logic of the state of law and institutions, by protecting the judiciary and its independence, in order to carry out its role in protecting justice away from clientelism and discretion.” And political interventions, in the hope that this decision will constitute an entry point to correct the course and establish the birth of an era of justice and accountability.”
