Through the Egyptian Al-Arish Airport…a shipment of humanitarian aid from Russia to Gaza
An Il-76 plane belonging to the Russian Ministry of Emergencies took off carrying humanitarian aid from the Russian people to the Egyptian Al-Arish Airport in preparation for transporting it to the people in the Gaza Strip.
This shipment of humanitarian aid was collected at the initiative of the Government of the Republic of Karachay-Cherkessia and contains grains, flour, sugar and other products suitable for long-term storage. In addition to personal hygiene items, the total weight of the shipment is more than 29 tons.
After the Russian humanitarian shipment reaches the territory of the Arab Republic of Egypt, it is scheduled to be delivered to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, who in turn will transport it to the Gaza Strip.
In total, since the beginning of the humanitarian mission, 20 flights have been carried out for the Russian Emergencies Ministry and more than 480 tons of food, medicine, clothing and other essential items have been delivered. (RT)
