Delay in salaries for this month…and the Ministry of Finance clarifies!

The Ministry of Finance announced, in a statement, “The possibility of a delay in disbursing public sector salaries is not linked to the acceptance of the resignation of the Director of the Treasury and what accompanied it, but rather to the malfunction that occurred in the electronic systems in the Ministry, which the competent agencies in the electronic center are working with intense effort to fix as quickly as possible.”

The statement continued: “It is important for the Ministry of Finance to praise the role of the Audit Bureau, which hastened to overcome obstacles and obstructions to the functioning of the Bank of Lebanon by approving the signature of the Commissioner to manage the work of the Treasury Directorate, Rana Karam.”
