The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that the army has begun its preparations for a gradual withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, noting in return that there are no instructions from the political level to withdraw from Gaza yet.

The authority added that the agreement guarantees that the army will remain in a buffer zone around Gaza, and that the Palestinians will not be allowed to approach it, noting that the buffer zone will be 60 km long and 800 meters wide.

She also noted that the Israeli army will withdraw from the Rafah crossing shortly after the signing of the agreement, and planning has begun for redeployment around Gaza.

The army will also gradually withdraw from Netzarim and Philadelphia, and the authority indicated that coordination had been made with Egypt and America regarding the withdrawal from Philadelphia.
