An Israeli soldier is being pursued abroad… What is his charge?
The Israeli newspaper said that the “Hind Rajab” Foundation filed a legal complaint with the Swedish authorities against an Israeli army soldier that it says is present on its territory.
According to the organization, the soldier “committed war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.”
The organization indicated that the soldier served as a sniper in one of the “Nahal” Brigade battalions and that the complaint was submitted in the wake of “the direct targeting and indiscriminate harm of civilians, the destruction of Palestinian homes, and systematic acts of violence in Gaza City.”
The newspaper quoted the organization as saying, “The soldier published pictures of himself using a sniper rifle in Gaza, and reports from eyewitnesses and journalists indicate that civilians, including women and children, were killed in these operations.”
In addition, a complaint was filed against the soldier on charges of destroying “civilian property.”
The newspaper reported, “The soldier was also said to be involved in attacks on hospitals and medical facilities, as the battalion in which he serves participated in a raid on Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza in March 2024.”
The human rights organization urged the Swedish authorities to arrest the Israeli soldier. (Russia Today)
