We hope that the era of Joseph Aoun will be an era of reform and advancement
Representative Bilal Al-Hashimi congratulated in a statement, “General Joseph Aoun and all the Lebanese on the occasion of his election as President of the Lebanese Republic with all pride and honor.”
He said: “After two years and months of presidential vacuum that burdened the nation, this election represents a step in the right direction, and it is what the Lebanese have been impatiently waiting for to restore order to constitutional institutions.”
He added: “Your Excellency the President, your election at this critical stage renews hope in Lebanon’s ability to recover from its crises and puts the country on the path towards stability and unity. We hope that this step will be completed quickly by appointing a prime minister and forming an effective government that will work hard to save Lebanon and rebuild state institutions, ensuring their continuity and enhancing the confidence of the people and the international community in them.”
He concluded: “We ask God to grant you success in this great national mission, and that your reign will be the beginning of a new era of reform and advancement that every Lebanese deserves.” Congratulations to you, Mr. President, and congratulations to Lebanon and its people.”
