Following the meeting, the bloc issued a statement in which it reiterated “its firm position in confirming the election of General Joseph Aoun to the presidency of the republic.”
She stressed “the necessity not to miss this opportunity as a basis for overcoming crises and starting a new phase of restoring institutions and their regularity and launching the required reform process after the formation of the government.”
