The Iraqi Prime Minister arrives in Tehran on an official visit


Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in the capital, Tehran, where he arrived on an official visit, to hold talks with senior officials in the country, and discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.

The statement of the Iraqi Prime Minister’s Media Office stated that Al-Sudani arrived in Tehran at the head of a government delegation, on an official visit during which he will hold a series of meetings and meetings with Iranian leaders.

The statement indicated that during the visit, the Sudanese will discuss “strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, developing bilateral cooperation, and discussing a number of common files, in addition to examining the developments taking place in the region.”

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei announced a few days ago that the Iraqi Prime Minister would visit Tehran to meet with senior officials in the country.

Baghaei explained, in a statement to reporters, that the visit comes within the framework of consultations between Iran and Iraq, with the aim of expanding bilateral relations and reviewing regional developments.
