No veto on Al-Baisri?
Informed sources indicated that the Saudi delegation that recently visited Lebanon did not place any veto on the arrival of the Acting Director General of Public Security, Major General Elias Al-Bisari, to the presidency, contrary to what was leaked in some media outlets.
According to the sources, Riyadh hinted at its rejection of Al-Baisari or its lack of support through the delegation’s assertion that Doha did not present the man’s name to Saudi Arabia, and therefore this means that Riyadh does not support him. But what is certain is that the word veto or even rejection did not come from the Saudi delegation. Rather, Riyadh does not deal in this manner with the Lebanese representatives, and the delegation never exceeds diplomatic decorum.
