– Former Al-Ittihad club legend, Hamad Al-Montashri, called on French coach Laurent Blanc to repeat what he did with Al-Nasr, if he wanted to win over Al-Hilal in the quarter-finals of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup.
Al-Montashari said: “I respect Al-Hilal and it does not scare me, especially since Al-Ittihad has played strong matches in the recent period in the league. But I express my concern about coach Blanc’s choices in that match.”
While he added: “The best way to manage the match is for Blanc to start facing Al-Hilal just as he finished facing Al-Nasr,” referring to the last match between the two teams, which witnessed the brilliance of Al-Ameed’s players, and ended with a victory with a score of (2-1).
