Between France and Lebanon.. Air France extends the suspension of its flights

Air France announced today, Monday, the extension of the suspension of its flights to Israel and Lebanon “due to the security situation.”

The company told Agence France-Presse: “Air France extends the suspension of its flights between Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and Tel Aviv (Israel) until January 17, 2025 inclusive.” Also, flights between Paris Charles de Gaulle and Beirut (Lebanon) have been suspended until January 31, 2025 inclusive.”

She added that “the resumption of operations will remain subject to evaluation of the situation,” and “the concerned customers will be informed individually and solutions for postponement or compensation will be provided to them.”

Air France suspended its flights to Beirut after the simultaneous explosion across Lebanon of communication devices (Bager) used by thousands of Hezbollah members on September 17.

Also, the company suspended its flights to Tel Aviv from Paris on September 30.

For its part, Transavia extended the suspension of its flights to Tel Aviv until January 27 inclusive, as a spokesman for the company affiliated with the Air France-KLM group announced on Monday. As for flights to Beirut, they are suspended until the end of the winter weather season, that is, the end of March, according to the same source.

German Lufthansa flights to Tel Aviv continue to be suspended until at least January 31. (AFP)
