A Russian journalist was killed in a Ukrainian drone attack

The Russian newspaper Izvestia said on Saturday that one of its correspondents was killed in a Ukrainian drone attack near the city of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine.

The newspaper reported on its channel on the Telegram application: “The Ukrainian army launched a drone attack on a civilian car carrying our correspondent, Alexander Martyanov, who works as a freelancer.”

“The car was far from the front line,” she added.

The Izvestia newspaper reported that the car was driving on the highway linking the cities of Donetsk, which is controlled by Russia, and Horlivka to the north.
