On Saturday, the Saudi Royal Court announced the death of Princess Mona Riyad Al Solh, the mother of Prince Alwaleed bin Talal.
Prince Alwaleed bin Talal wrote in his account on the X platform: “May God have mercy on my mother, Princess Mona Riad Al-Solh.”
Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal said: “With hearts that believe in God’s will and destiny, and with great sadness and sorrow, we mourn our dear mother, Princess Mona Riyad Al Solh – may God have mercy on her and forgive her – the mother of His Royal Highness Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, who passed away to the mercy of God Almighty today.”
Princess Mona Riad Al-Solh is a prominent Arab figure, and holds both Saudi and Lebanese citizenship. Her father, Riad Al-Solh, was the first prime minister after Lebanon’s independence.
