Netanyahu allows negotiators to continue talks on the hostages

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu allowed negotiators to continue discussions in Doha to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and release hostages held by Hamas since October 2023, according to what his office said Thursday.

The office said in a statement that Netanyahu “authorized a delegation from the Mossad (foreign intelligence service), Shin Bet (domestic intelligence service) and the army to continue negotiations in Doha.”

This comes after Israel and the Palestinian movement exchanged accusations of obstructing efforts to reach an agreement to end the war that has been going on for more than a year in the devastated Strip, according to Agence France-Presse.
