This is what Nawaf Salam asked Macron
Prime Minister-designate Nawaf Salam said today, Friday, that he insisted during his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on the necessity of a rapid Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon.
In a statement from Baabda Palace after his meeting with President Joseph Aoun, Salam said: I came to Baabda to inform His Excellency the President of the results of the consultations that ended after my meeting with Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri.
He continued: We will work 24 hours a day to complete the government and launch the required rescue workshop, and the atmosphere is more than positive.
He continued: I insisted to French President Emmanuel Macron that the Israeli withdrawal take place immediately and not delay even an hour. Otherwise, this threatens the stability of the country, and the entire international community must put pressure in this direction.
