Hamas must accept the terms of the agreement

British Foreign Secretary David Cameron welcomed the UN Security Council resolution on the ceasefire and the hostage release deal, saying: “This is an important step towards ending the conflict.”

He continued: “There cannot be any justifications, and Hamas must accept this deal, which will allow the confrontation and people’s suffering to end.”

Cameron referred to the “catastrophic situation” in the Gaza Strip, holding Hamas responsible and accusing it of obstructing the ceasefire.

He added: “We call on all parties to seize this opportunity. “Now is the time for diplomacy more than ever.”
