Trump talks about the end of the Gaza war and the ownership of the Gaza Strip


On Monday, US President Donald Trump expressed his desire to stop the war in Gaza, while receiving Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House.

Trump told reporters at the White House, that work is underway to liberate Hamas hostages, but added that ensuring the release of all hostages is a “long process.”

In response to a question about whether Sifi, who made him during his presidential campaign to end the war in Gaza, Trump said: “I would like to see the war stop, and I think it will stop at some point, and that will not be in the distant future.”

But the American president said that “the United States’ control of the Gaza Strip and its possession of it will be a good thing, again, a proposal to put it several times during the first weeks of his term.

He added: “The presence of a force like the United States there, controlling and possessing the Gaza Strip, will be good.”

In the same context, Netanyahu said that Israel is working to reach a new agreement on the release of hostages held by Hamas in the Strip.

“We are currently working on another agreement, we hope that it will succeed, and we are committed to liberating all the hostages,” he said after receiving at the White House.
