In order to facilitate the transactions of citizens related to the installation of solar energy to generate electricity for the use of a capacity of less than 1.5 megawatts and reduce the burdens of movement and time for them, the Minister of Energy and Water Al -Saddi decided to exempt them from obtaining approval from the ministry as previously applied.

Al -Sadda was based on his decision on Law 462/2002, which allows citizens to do so without obtaining any permission from the ministry. As for the implementation of the iron structures of the panels, the control over them is not one of the tasks of the ministry, but rather is subject to the General Directorate of Civil Organization.

The Minister of Energy, the Ministries of Interior, Municipalities, Public Works, and Transport on the file, to inform them about the decision, wrote to the citizens to resort to the use of renewable energy that contributes to reducing the financial cost and limiting the negative environmental repercussions.

The minister affirmed the work to reduce the administrative procedures in the ministry as much as possible while adhering to the laws in force in order to facilitate the access of citizens to the services.
