What is going on is a continuous aggression despite international understandings and decisions

A member of the “Development and Liberation” bloc, MP Dr. Qassem Hashem, considered in a statement that “the Israeli suburb of Beirut was targeting our country and a violation of its sovereignty,” stressing that “this aggression proves that Lebanon is on the goal of aiming the Zionist expansion project that does not need justifications or excuses,” noting that “there are those who are trying to find justifications for the aggression at home.”

He added that “what is going on is a continuous completion of an aggression despite international understandings and decisions,” calling for “the unity of the internal position and the position of the international community in front of its responsibilities to protect Lebanon and its fortification against the risks to it.”

Hashem also asked if the silence was the best way to face these challenges, stressing “the need to stand in the face of attempts to bow and abandon national rights and dignity.”
