Al -Khatib warns of the extension of events in Syria to Lebanon

He added: “The terrible scenes that we have received and reached the violations that occurred against innocent civilians, make us in a state of shock, because we believed in one of the stages that this black era from the history of our country has ended in an irreversible. Violence and thirst, so that it becomes impossible to coexist between the Syrian components, and to achieve the goals of the West and the Zionists in dividing Syria and canceling its entity as one unified country.

He continued: “In the face of the foregoing, we appeal to the wise in our Arab and Islamic nation to accelerate to put an end to what happened, and work with full force to hold those responsible for these crimes accountable, and to secure protection for Syrian civilians to any sect or region they belonged, before the great sedition was made with its horn, and spread to the entire region in a way that is difficult to control things and fix the situation.”

He concluded: “Therefore, we warn our people in Lebanon of the implications of this reality, calling on the state and security services to take the maximum measures to control the conditions and prevent the extension of events to the Lebanese territories.”
