Neighboring countries confirm their support for Syria and condemn the Israeli attacks


On Sunday, Jordan hosted a meeting of the neighboring countries of Syria with the participation of Türkiye, Syria, Iraq and Lebanon.
The meeting was held at the level of foreign ministers, defense, army leaders and intelligence directors.

At the end of the meeting, the Jordanian Foreign Minister, Ayman Al -Safadi, said that “Syria’s security and stability is an integral part of the region’s stability.”


He continued, during a joint press conference: “The meeting confirmed the unified position to fight terrorism and combat ISIS, we support Syria in a way that achieves its security and stability.”

The Jordanian Foreign Minister pointed out that “Israel is trying to create a state of chaos and excuses to achieve its goals in the region.”
For his part, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein said, “It is important to open a Syrian dialogue that includes all components of the people to achieve stability.”

He continued: “The ISIS Merit requires regional and international support, and the stability of Iraq stems from the stability of Syria.”

In the context, Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, said that his country condemns Israel’s expansionist policies in Syria.

He continued: “We support all steps to preserve the lives of all Syrians, all components of the Syrian people must remain far from the strain of strife.”

The Turkish Foreign Minister continued: “We continue to combat ISIS and our meeting to develop a plan that includes a joint operations room to confront terrorism.”

In turn, the Syrian Foreign Minister, Asaad Al -Shaibani, said: “We are ready to continue joint work for a better future for the region.”

He continued: “We protect all components of the Syrian people and do not distinguish between them and we will not allow the repetition of the tragedies of the Syrian people.”

Al -Shaibani added: “The new Syrian government is the guarantor of civil peace. We will not allow any party to take the role of the state and everyone who is involved in violations will be referred to the judiciary.” (Sky News)
