Lapid and Gantz invites Netanyahu to apologize for failure on October 7

The leader of the Israeli opposition, Yair Lapid and head of the “State Camp” party, Beni Gantz, on Tuesday evening, called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to apologize, after the results of an investigation conducted by the Shin Bet Security Agency regarding the events of October 7, 2023.

The “Shin Bet” acknowledged, on Tuesday, his failure to assess the capabilities of the “Hamas” movement before October 7, 2023, and alluded to Netanyahu’s responsibility for “drawing a failed policy over the years,” according to the Hebrew Broadcasting Corporation (official).

Lapid, on the “X” platform, said that Netanyahu is trying to blame others.

Lapid went to Netanyahu, saying: “Didn’t you awaken you even when the intelligence materials warned you of the disaster?”

He continued: “Israel has been awake for 515 days, and we still have hostages (prisoners) in Gaza. It’s time to wake up, apologize and take responsibility. This happened in your state. ”

On Tuesday, the head of the opposition “State Camp” party, Benny Gantz, also held Netanyahu responsible for failure on October 7, 2023, calling on him to apologize.

And he added: “Instead of assuming responsibility and apology and forming an official investigation committee, the Prime Minister will submit to the Shin Bet … There is no leadership, no responsibility, and no limits to ridicule.”
