The Syndicate of Medicines and Warehouse owners visited the Minister of Health to discuss cooperation and organizing the sector


The “Medicine and Warehouse Owners Syndicate” in Lebanon (LPIA) announced, in a statement, that a delegation from the union visited the Minister of Public Health, Dr. Rakan Nasser Al -Din in his office in the ministry. The visit aimed to congratulate the minister for assuming his duties in the new government, as the union wished him success in the process of advancing the health sector in Lebanon.

The statement indicated that “during the meeting, the union’s delegation offered to the union’s work in recent years, especially in light of the economic crisis and its repercussions on the drug market in Lebanon. The continuous cooperation between the union and the Ministry of Health was also discussed in order to secure the continuity of the medicine market in Lebanon and provide medicines for patients despite the challenges.

In addition, the union delegation discussed with Dr. Nasser Al -Din is ways to reorganize the pharmaceutical sector in Lebanon in a manner that guarantees transparency and market stability, in addition to restructuring the guarantors and expanding the scope of health coverage of patients. He stressed the importance of preserving the quality of the medicine in the Lebanese market.

In conclusion, the delegation of the minister expressed the union’s intention to continue effective and positive coordination with the Ministry of Public Health, through the meeting with periodic work sessions in order to enhance the partnership between the public and private sectors, follow up on all the files presented, and to find practical and sustainable solutions to the Lebanese market, as well as enhance drug security in the country in a way that serves the health and interest of patients.

The union delegation included its president: Joseph Gharib, Vice President Adnan Dandan and the two members Karim Jabara and Marwan Hakim.
