Russia declares thwarting a major attack and falling 128 Ukrainian career


The Russian Ministry of Defense announced, on Wednesday, that it had dropped 128 Ukrainian officials during the night over different Russian regions and the Crimea, in one of the largest similar attacks targeting Russia since the beginning of the war.

Kiev has intensified her air attacks on energy and military facilities on Russian soil in recent months, in a campaign that she launched in response to the continuous Russian bombing of its cities and infrastructure since February 2022.


The ministry said in a statement that the Air Defense Forces “intercepted and destroyed 128 Ukrainian headquarters during the past night”, including 83 over the Krasnodar area (southwest) and 30 over the Crimea peninsula, which Moscow included in 2014.

In addition to the Krasnodar area known for its resorts on the Black Sea, the attack targeted the Russian -adjacent regions of the Breansk and Corsc borders to Ukraine, according to the same source.

No severe damage was immediately reported on the ground by the Russian media or the authorities. (Sky News)
