Vatican: The Pope got a good installment of rest

The Vatican confirmed today to Tuesday that Pope Francis, who is in the hospital for treatment of pneumonia, “obtained a large amount of rest” during the night after he had reported on Monday evening that his condition showed “a slight improvement”.

The Apostolic Chair said in a brief statement on the twelfth day of his hospitalization: “The Pope got a large rest during the night.”

He added: “The slight kidney failure that he suffers from since Sunday does not cause concern, even if it continues to receive oxygen, it is low.”
