In front of this government a big challenge


The Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Drian, received a delegation from the “Lebanese Forces” party headed by former Deputy Prime Minister Ghassan Hasbani, who invited him to participate in the annual breakfast that is held in Maarab in the holy month of Ramadan.

He pointed out that “the meeting was an occasion to discuss the topics of the hour, and the result of which is the content of the ministerial statement, which will be discussed tomorrow in the star square and the start of the government’s work.”

The meeting also touched on the major priorities in front of the government and challenges, in the forefront of which is the factor of time, where Hasbani said: “There are several things that have accumulated and need quick solutions at the forefront of which is to deal with the needs of the people at this stage. In implementation of the Taif Agreement and the international decisions that Lebanon adhered to through previous governments in order to launch reforms Financial and economic stability. ”

He continued: “This government has a major challenge to develop a new plan to recover, because the old plans that have been offered time – to be agreed with the International Monetary Fund and secure the required legislation. It is also required to return everyone who abandons and displaced and does not leave them without care. There is also the file of administrative appointments, filling vacancy after developing, repairing the administration, and fighting corruption in it.

Hasbani stressed, “The necessity of holding democratic entitlements on time, starting with the municipal and optional elections, and to the parliamentary elections, and the importance of respecting the private ownership and the free economy as stipulated in the constitution, and to work to collect the rights of depositors whose money was held within any recovery plan.”
