Israel intends to prevent Palestinian prisoners from entering Al -Aqsa in Ramadan

The official Hebrew Broadcasting Corporation stated on Sunday evening that Israel intends to prevent the Palestinian prisoners who were released within the current deal with Hamas from entering the Al -Aqsa Mosque during the month of Ramadan.

Hamas and Israel are conducting an exchange of prisoners in batches, as part of a ceasefire agreement that started on January 19, by Qatar and Egypt and supporting the United States.

The commission said: “The Israeli police will not allow anyone released in recent weeks as part of the deal with Hamas to enter the Al -Aqsa Mosque during the month of Ramadan.”

And she continued: “The police data indicate that all the saboteurs who were released were removed from the Temple Mount according to judicial orders,” as it was described.

The commission added that the police put their forces on a state of high alert in preparation for the month of Ramadan, and intended to deploy 3 thousand policemen daily at the barriers leading to the city of Jerusalem to the Temple Mount.

And she added that “the police recommended the political level (the government), as last year, by granting entry visas to the Temple Mount to ten thousand residents of the Palestinian regions (meaning the occupied West Bank).”

According to the police recommendation, entry permits will be granted to men 55 years or more and for women who are 50 years old or more.

“The police also recommended that the children be allowed until the age of 12 years to enter the Temple Mount with an adult person,” but the government has not yet agreed to these recommendations, according to the commission. (Anatolia)
