The manufacturing sector activity in Japan declined .. These are the last numbers

The frequency of the manufacturing sector activity in Japan accelerated, according to the data of the “Gibbon Bank” issued today, Monday. The bank’s report showed that the manufacturing sector purchases were declined during January to 48.7 points, compared to 49.6 points last December.

Reading the index is less than 50 points, to shrinking the economic activity of the sector, while reading is above 50 points to growth of the activity.

The sub -index of the manufacturing sector has continued to decline for the fifth consecutive month, which reflects the low levels of production. Despite this, the index recorded its lowest level in 10 years, as companies attributed this decline to the weakness of the new orders, which led them to reduce production.

The sub -index of new orders in the manufacturing sector also decreased, and companies that witnessed a decrease in sales indicated the weakness of customer confidence, especially in the semiconductor and cars sectors, according to the German news agency (DBA).
