To reactivate the electronic platform for doctors and update the medical symbol book

The head of the Lebanese Doctors Syndicate in Beirut, Professor Youssef Bakhash, participated in the opening of the thirteenth conference of the Association of Artillery Doctors, which was held at the Lancaster Plaza Hotel – Al -Rousha, attended by a crowd of interested doctors.

He said in a speech he delivered on “Zoom” for his presence in Paris: “My insistence on participating in this conference despite my presence outside Lebanon came to its importance on the one hand, and because he is the first after the election of a president of the republic and a new government that includes among its ministers as a member of your generous association as Minister of Public Health Dr. Rakan Nasser Al -Din And who we wish for success and the government has the confidence of Parliament next week.

He added a center on the slogan of the new government, “Salvation and Reform”: “Who saved Lebanon in November 2019 after the great economic and financial collapse with the loss of our money and our savings in banks? You, the Lebanese people believing in this holy land. Who saved Lebanon during the successive Garat Corona and after the explosion of the port and during the last fierce war? The health and hospital sector, you and us. Who saved Lebanon from the scientific collapse with the shadow of all these accumulated and successive crises, are our medical colleges and scientific societies of all specialties. You and we, and what you are doing today are scientific resistance, and we all realize the status of corporate support for these conferences, which has declined due to the accumulated circumstances, and despite all this, you have organized this scientific meeting. As for the second part of the government’s slogan, it is reform. What the health sector needs is huge workshops, and we are aware of your insistence on reform, and we, as a union, as a association next to your side in this march for the good of the Lebanese citizen. But allow me to stop at two points related to the medical sector and trustworthiness between the doctor and the Ministry of Health: The first is to reactivate the electronic platform for doctors, which enable each doctor to follow his surgical work and his fees and payment dates, the primary goal of reactivating this platform is the financial transparency with doctors And the second is related to updating the book of medical symbols, which is considered the reference for hospitals, doctors and all entities Official and private guarantor. The last time the concerned authorities amended this reference dates back to the year 1997 and we all know the size of scientific, technical, surgical and medical development that took place since that date and is not noticeable in this reference, which puts us on the sidelines of international standards. The development of this reference is a basic need for any reform plan that the Ministry of Public Health intends to draw because it will authorize it to count scientific accuracy the volume of certain surgical works or the size of the spread of a specific disease on the area of ​​the country by using the symbols related to it.
