Salam discussed with Blaskart and Reza in developments on the local and regional arenas

Prime Minister Dr. Nawwaf Salam received the United Nations Special Coordinator in Lebanon, Jenin Hennis Blaskart, and the resident coordinator, Humanitarian Coordinator Imran Riza. During the meeting, the developments were discussed on the local and regional arenas, and how to work to stabilize Lebanon, and secure ways to recover and help Lebanon to face challenges.

Then President Salam received the US Ambassador of the United States in Lebanon, Lisa Johnson, who said after the meeting: “My visit today is to congratulate President Salam for the formation of the government that includes competent personalities who have a sophisticated vision and can lead Lebanon towards a better future, and we all wish them success and success in their duties.”

President Salam also received the Spanish Ambassador to Lebanon, Jesus Santos Agawado, who said after the meeting: “President Salam congratulated the formation of the government, expressed to him the Spanish government’s support for the new stage in Lebanon, and reviewed him on the priorities of his government in the current stage.”

He added: “I also offered President Salam joint cooperation projects with Lebanon, where we have about 20 projects under implementation in the field of development, with a value of about 22 million euros, and it is also scheduled to allocate an additional amount to assist the Lebanese army and security forces. Spain is participating in the international forces in the south through the Spanish battalion, and the UNIFIL commander is a Spanish general.

President Salam also received Germany’s ambassador to Lebanon, Court George Steakkkek-Chtelfred, who congratulated him on the formation of the government, and during the meeting, the political developments were presented in addition to bilateral relations and ways to consolidate them.

The Prime Minister received the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Lebanon, Walid Al -Hadid, who congratulated him, wishing the government success in its tasks.

He said: “We reaffirm the Hashemite Kingdom’s support for Lebanon, and we hope that it was always a beacon for the East and to enjoy security, stability and prosperity.

It was an occasion during which we presented bilateral relations between the two countries and how to work to enhance and develop them.
