Checking the remains of a martyr from the Al -Houmiya neighborhood in Khayyam

Rescue teams in the General Directorate of Civil Defense, in full coordination with the Lebanese army, continue to search and survey in the areas that were previously exposed to the Israeli aggression, according to the directives of the Director General of Civil Defense to assign, Brigadier Nabil Farah.

In this context, the specialized teams, today, Wednesday 12-22-2025, managed to recover the remains of a martyr from the Huma neighborhood in the town of Khayyam, where they were transferred to Marjayoun Governmental Hospital, in preparation for conducting the necessary medical and legal examinations, including DNA checks (DNA), under the supervision of the competent authorities to determine his identity.

The General Directorate of Civil Defense confirms its intention to continue to perform its humanitarian and national duties, in close cooperation with the Lebanese army, until the completion of searches for all missing persons.
