Makki receives the Ministry of Administrative Development: Our priorities are reform and digital transformation


The Ministry of State for Administrative Development Affairs was held at Starco, a celebration of delivery and receipt between the former Minister Najla Riachi and the new Minister Fadi Makki.

Initially, Riachi thanked the press for attending and keeping pace with the ministry’s duties throughout the previous period, and wished success to the government in its tasks, especially for the ministries. She also congratulated the new minister on his duties, and indicated that she is aware and friendly with him while assuming the General Directorate of the Ministry of Economy and Trade. She said: He is a vital and active minister, with his testimonies and responsibilities, especially with international organizations.

She said: On the day the Ministry of Administrative Development received it, it faced great challenges, in addition to the situation of the difficult country. This ministry included projects funded by loans and gifts from donors. Some projects were suspended, especially with the category of contracts of employees linked to their contracts to the United Nations Development Program. However, I worked on two basic topics: the issue of fighting corruption and the strategy of fighting corruption and thus involving young people in it. The subject of digital transformation and the strategy of digital transformation. As I thank the international organizations that helped me implement these two issues, I also thank the employees of the ministry their efforts and I am confident that they will be the best support for Minister Makki.

He added: I receive my duties today in the Ministry of Administrative Development Affairs in the Reform and Rescue Government, which is a ministry I know well and as I know the public administration by virtue of my previous site as the general manager of the economy and trade between 2002-2005. Then the Ministry of Economy was one of the beneficiaries of the Ministry of Administrative Development projects in terms of capacity building In the field of strategic planning and the development and monitoring of performance indicators. Today I return to the public sector, specifically the Ministry of Administrative Development after 20 years, armed with a rich experience that I gained in the public and private sectors in the Gulf countries and the United States, in the areas of design design, restructuring, change management, and the implementation of behavioral tests.

He continued: Our priorities in this ministry stems from the core of its tasks as an incubator for projects and reform initiatives in the public sector. Among the most prominent of these projects are: updating and developing administrative structures in ministries and public institutions, and their acts of services, improving their services, simplifying their procedures and removing obstruction in their work, rehabilitating cadres and attracting promising youth skills in vacant centers. The tireless pursuit of citizen confidence in public administration, through the proper implementation of the national strategy to combat corruption and the development of this strategy in light of the variables and best practices.

Contributing to the implementation of the digital transformation strategy in Lebanon, which supervised the development of the Ministry in coordination with the relevant ministries and relevant partners, with a focus in the next stage on the process of managing change and the behavior of individuals in adopting and adopting new mechanisms that are the most important factors for success strategies.

He added: There are principles that I will guide during the period of assuming the tasks of this ministry are: transparency and rational governance in work and accountability, the scientific approach in dealing with files and making decisions supported by clues and numbers, adopting best practices and encouraging innovation, for example, in applying behavioral visions and cores, and tests in the administrative reform process To enhance the effectiveness and goodness of services, partnership and cooperation with the relevant authorities from the ministries, civil society bodies, private sector, universities and youth energies.
