A 5.2 -magnitude earthquake took place on Tuesday evening, near the city of Zadar, central Croatia.

A statement by the European Mediterranean Center for Seismological Monitoring, on Tuesday, stated that an earthquake measuring 5.2 degrees was registered near the city of Zadar, which was also felt by some residents of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the country adjacent to Croatia.


The statement indicated that a tremor occurred, and that no immediate reports have been received about damage or human losses following the earthquake.

Local media reported that residents in some areas of Croatia had left their homes for fear of the earthquake. (Anatolia)
