The sectarian council headed


The Board of Directors of the Doctrine Council held its monthly meeting in the sect house in Beirut, headed by Sheikh Al -Aql and the Chairman of the Council, Sheikh Dr. Sami Abi Al -Mona, to discuss council and public national issues, most notably the general situation in Lebanon and the atmosphere of optimism that was rumored by the formation of the new government.

The meeting reviewed the positive impact of the spiritual and social round carried out by the Sheikh of Al -Aql in the Hasbaya district to the southern border villages, as well as the medical day organized by the Health and Environment Committee in Hasbaya and the Union of Al -Hasbani Municipalities. The Council indicated that these activities reflect the directions of the sheikhdom of the mind and the sectarian council in support of the southern region, especially in light of the inability of state institutions to provide adequate support to the people, especially in the border areas facing challenges from the Israeli occupation.

At the end of the meeting, the Council issued a statement in which it welcomed the formation of the new government and the positive climates that prevailed since the election of President Joseph Aoun and the name of President Dr. Nawaf Salam. The Council stressed the importance of choosing competent ministers with practical and scientific experiences, wishing the government success in facing the major challenges facing Lebanon, especially in the areas of economic recovery and social security.

The council considered that the hopes of the government strengthening its responsibility in facing the challenges that Lebanon went through in the last stage, stressing the need to implement radical reforms and social justice and achieve balanced development. The Council also called for the implementation of the entire terms of the Taif Agreement and the promotion of civil peace.

The council also made an appeal to the countries sponsoring the ceasefire agreement in the south, asking them to exert serious pressure on Israel to stop its daily violations and withdraw from the remaining areas, stressing the need to implement Resolution 1701. The council also refused to extend the Israeli occupation or the existence of a minimum sovereignty on the border with Syria.

The Council reiterated its call to sisterly and friendly countries to support the Lebanese army, stressing the importance of the national circumvention around it as a guarantee of internal stability and national unity in the face of the security and aggressive challenges facing Lebanon.
