Amin Salam participates in the activities of the preliminary day of the World Government Summit 2025 in Dubai


Former Minister of Economy and Trade Amin Salam will participate in the work of the ninth forum for public finance in the Arab countries, which is held in the city of Jumeirah in Dubai, from 11 to 13 February, as part of the activities of the preliminary day of the World Summit of Government 2025.

Participates in the forum, organized by the Ministry of Finance in cooperation with the Arab Monetary Fund and the International Monetary Fund, Arab financial ministers, economic experts and officials from international and regional financial institutions.

The forum, which is held under the title of public finance in a world surrounded by uncertainty, discusses ways to balance the requirements of development, financial sustainability and climate work.

The forum also includes four main sessions, in which the most prominent economic challenges are discussed, such as the effects of the total economy on public finances, debt pressure, financial policies to adapt to climate change, and the development of tax systems to keep pace with economic transformations.

The focus is on enhancing the flexibility of public finances in the face of economic shocks, and the importance of structural reforms to ensure the stability of public finances and enhance the ability to face future crises. The financial policy tools that contribute to improving the efficiency of public spending and enhancing financial transparency will also be reviewed.

The forum concludes with a round ministerial table that includes Arab finance ministers and officials from the International Monetary Fund and the Arab Monetary Fund, to discuss the mechanisms of regional financial cooperation and the priorities of the next stage in economic and financial policies.
