Netanyahu is facing health challenges during his trial and making exciting statements about Palestine

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed today, Monday, that he is facing health challenges with his criminal trial on charges of corruption.

At the beginning of the hearing before the court in Tel Aviv, after his return from Washington, he made it clear that he is undergoing extensive antibiotic doses, according to the recommendation of doctors.

Netanyahu indicated that his recent visit to the United States, during which he met US President Donald Trump, was “historic”, but added that it formed a “health challenge”.

He explained that he deals with 1500 milligrams of antibiotics daily, which increases the difficulty of the health status he is going through, expressing his need for regular break during court day.

The Israeli Prime Minister underwent surgery in December 2024 to remove the prostate, and faced complications after the operation, including infections. Earlier this month, Netanyahu missed the court sessions because of his travel to Washington to meet Trump. Two of three sessions were canceled due to the infection of the influenza.

In another context, Netanyahu commented in an interview with the Israeli “Channel 14” on US President Trump’s statements regarding Riyadh’s refusal to normalize without a “Palestinian state.”

Netanyahu commented on this, saying sarcastically or denouncing: “A Palestinian state? Unless you are considering establishing a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia … they have large spaces. ”

For its part, Saudi Arabia categorically responded to Netanyahu’s statements, confirming its complete rejection of any attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their land.

In an official statement, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed its appreciation for the positions of the Arab and Islamic countries that reject the statements of the Israeli Prime Minister, stressing the importance of the Palestinian issue in the Arab context.

The US President, Donald Trump, had previously proposed the transfer and resettlement of a number of Palestinians to countries such as Jordan, Egypt and other Arab countries, which sparked Palestinian, Jordanian, Egyptian and Arab reactions rejecting this proposal, while emphasizing the right of the Palestinians to adhere to their land.

In this context, a high -ranking Arab meeting in Cairo witnessed continuous support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and the rejection of attempts to displace it, as foreign ministers in Egypt, Jordan, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, in addition to the Secretary -General of the League of Arab States, affirmed their commitment to the rights of Palestinians in accordance with international law.
