Jumblatt congratulated Aoun, Salam and members of the new government


The head of the Progressive Socialist Party, MP Timur Jumblatt, congratulated the formation of the new government, wishing its president, Dr. Nawaf Salam and its members success in achieving the aspirations of the Lebanese and meeting their aspirations.

He also congratulated especially to His Excellency the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, to issue the first government during his reign.

MP Jumblatt hoped in a statement that the joint government efforts would lead to full cooperation in the future stage, which requires a lot of serious and continuous work, to address the outstanding files at the political, economic, social and financial levels, and the relentless endeavor with the countries sponsoring the ceasefire agreement, in order to implement the agreement The aforementioned, ending the Israeli occupation in the south and completing the implementation of Resolution 1701, to extend the state’s authority over the entire land in southern Lebanon.

MP Jumblatt met within the weekly Saturday meetings at the Al -Mukhtara Palace, a leadership delegation from the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, which included the official in Lebanon Youssef Ahmed and a member of the Political Bureau Khalidat Hussein and members of the Central Committee Tayseer Ammar and Muhammad Hussein and member of the Lebanese Command, Mahmoud Qaddoura.

The delegation confirmed in a statement after the meeting that it stressed in front of Jumblatt on the dangers and challenges facing the Palestinian issue and the national rights of the Palestinian people, and the humanitarian repercussions of the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip. The issue of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon also discussed the depth of the historical relationship that links the Palestinian and Lebanese brotherly peoples, and the urgent need to develop and strengthen it at this political stage, where the two peoples face major challenges that require dialogue and joint coordination, and to agree on a unified vision and strategy that constitute a ground for a common struggle against the risks that It threatens the interest of the two brotherly peoples.

The delegation praised the historical and continuous role of the Progressive Socialist Party in supporting the Palestinian issue and supporting the national rights of the Palestinian people in all forums and struggle stations, stressing the higher appreciation of these positions and the keenness to develop the relationship with the Socialist Party and various Lebanese political components, and expressed its satisfaction with the achievement of the Lebanese presidential entitlement, Wishing this to constitute a step towards stability and recovery, because of this positive repercussions on the conditions of the Lebanese people and Palestinian refugees, and to strengthen Lebanese -Palestinian relations. Stressing the keenness of the Palestinian people in Lebanon to enhance the state of security and stability in the Palestinian camps and enhance their relations with the neighborhood, confront any plans aimed at undermining their position and national privacy, and the necessity of developing a joint plan to confront the risks and liquidation conspiracies during the support of refugee resilience and the adoption of their humanitarian and social rights, including the right to work And ownership, because this means the resilience of the camp and the refugee on the path of return and the thwarts of the projects of displacement and resettlement that will never happen and the right to return will be achieved, whatever the sacrifices and the plots have increased. Stressing the importance of strengthening the unified Lebanese Palestinian action to counter the Israeli -American targeting, which is being exposed to UNRWA and pressure to ensure its continued support and financing and assume its responsibilities in providing care, relief and the required and comprehensive services for refugees.

Jumblatt received from Tal’i Al -Sabbagh, a wooden plate presented on the spirit of his brother Issam to Sherry Ananda, and a book for his brother on the oldest house in Baqin, his construction for 600 years.

Jumblatt received a series of reviews from municipal councils regarding its development and life projects.
